Interview
An interview is the initial meeting with all decision makers who will be involved in the development and funding of your landscape and garden. The designer will ask lots of questions to discover what your dream is for your property. After this interview, a set of proposals will be prepared and presented to you. When you have decided which proposal best meets your needs and wishes and is within your budget, the work of |
design and installation, based on a contract and deposit, can begin. Acorn Property Solutions provides a variety of products and services to help you reach all your landscaping goals. These can be modified to match your personal involvement in the project. We can work with every type of homeowner, all the way from total "do-it-yourself" folks to those who want the work completely installed by professionals. These products and services are described below (and each of them can be modified).
Consultation
A consultation consists of a one and one-half hour session. The homeowner describes what they want to achieve and the consultant provides an immediate solution, taking into consideration personal preferences as well as the physical characteristics of your landscape, any existing borders, prominent views, backgrounds, neighboring property features, and such issues as soil condition.
Due to the vast array of variables, the consultant may suggest steps, staging, or resources to help you achieve your goals. The consultant may also provide on-site design and so you can execute the suggested changes, landscape paint can be used to outline areas and mark specific spots for future plants. Sometimes, flags or stakes with plant names can be set immediately. The available types of consultations are as numerous as the many needs a landscape or garden may present. Design
You will be provided with a personalized design, including, if you wish, changing seasonal interest, color and fragrance throughout the year while using interesting plants. Acorn Property Solutions can help you create a peaceful private retreat or stunning entrance garden. If you have a large property, you have the opportunity of dividing it into several garden rooms, depending on your intended use of your property. Surprisingly, even the smallest of gardens can include more than one distinct space, making it seem larger and more interesting.

| appropriate plants, purchasing and delivering the plants, reviewing the design plan and updating it with the client. The total concept of the design and the many details involved are all important in achieving a garden of lasting and maturing beauty. Many of our clients prefer that this work be done on site without the creation of expensive drawings. Others want to have drawings done as part of the process. We are currently using design software that allows us to draw overhead views (plot plans), insert photos of client properties into a graphic view and insert the desired plants for a preview of how the finished design will look, and print these in full color, as well as black and white or grayscale. |
Teaching
Our passion for gardening translates into great excitement when helping our clients learn to nurture their new gardens. The skill they gain makes their gardening experience positive and fulfilling. Many clients find that, with some coaching and the sharing of knowledge, their time in the garden becomes exhilarating and rewarding.

Structures
We are pleased to provide structures for your landscape to enhance your garden with beautiful and practical elements, flavored with old world patina and artistic flair. The type of structure, according to your wishes, can include a cottage or garden shed, a deck, a fence, a gate, an arbor or pergola, a trellis or obelisk, a patio or wall, or a bench. The materials will be selected to create the most pleasant and attractive overall scenario for the portion of your garden where the structures may be located.
Installation
Acorn Property Solutions has historically worked with licensed Landscape Contracting Businesses to install your dream garden. We are looking forward to ensuring, through careful and complete communication with you and close supervision and oversight of the installation crew to bring your vision to fruition. |
